North Carolina uses a system that combines school proficiency (the number of students who pass state tests) with school growth (a measure of how much students learn each year) to assign a letter grade to each school, A-F.
While we continue to believe that no school should be defined solely by a grade, we are incredibly proud and excited to announce that Glenn has jumped three letter grades in five years and is now a "B" school! We have also met or exceeded growth every year for the past five years and are the ONLY school in DPS with five years of proficiency increases!
These numbers matter because of the students, teachers, families, and staff behind them. The persistence of our students, the commitment of our teachers, and our team's belief that all students deserve an exceptional education, no matter their zip code, has led Glenn to this historic moment when we are in the top 17% of the entire state of North Carolina.
We've always known it, but we want to share with the world that Glenn is a great place to "B!"
